British subculture and bands played a pivotal role in the 70s in the adaptation and spread of reggae music of Jamaican origin. In Birmingham in 1978, eight friends got together to create their very own Rasta sound, a sound that reflected their identity: UB40 was born. Almost half a century has passed since then, some musicians left the band, others joined, yet UB40 is more productive now than ever before: they dropped their 25th album UB45 in 2024. The band has sold over 70 million albums and celebrated more than 50 global hits – who doesn't know them: Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, Food For Thought and I Got You Babe, to name but just a few. UB40s concerts, which they play today in Europe and overseas, are a huge nostalgic revival – a relaxed celebration that pays homage to King Reggae.
The ticket for Zermatt Unplugged is valid for the concert at the marquee stage on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 – UB40.
