Fun family holidays: the Wolli Card is available for children up to the age of nine in the Zermatt – Matterhorn family destination. The annual pass that runs from 1 November to 31 October gives children free holidays in Zermatt, making our youngest guests the destination's VIPs.
The Wolli Card is a free club card for children of guests who spend at least one night in the Zermatt – Matterhorn destination. Until their 9th birthday, children receive the Wolli Card if the accompanying adult or young person purchases a two-day pass or more. The benefits include:
- Exemption from visitor’s tax
- Wolli Welcome Kit when purchasing the Wolli Card (provided by the accommodation provider)
- Various other discounts and offers in the destination
Up to their 9th birthday, children receive the Wolli Card if their parents are staying overnight in the Zermatt – Matterhorn destination. When purchasing a Wolli Card, an official identity document stating the date of birth must be presented. There is a deposit fee of CHF 5. The deposit will be refunded when the key card is returned. In the event of a damaged key card, no deposit will be refunded.
From the date of issue until 31 October, this entitles the cardholder to free travel on all Zermatt cable cars (including the Gornergrat Bahn), free overnight stays in numerous hotels and holiday accommodation and various other discounts and offers in the Zermatt – Matterhorn destination.
The Wolli Card can be booked online. After booking, guests receive an electronic confirmation letter they can use to obtain the Wolli Card at the following locations:
- Zermatt Bergbahnen AG sales points
- Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and Gornergrat Bahn sales points
- Zermatt Tourism
An official identity document showing the date of birth must be presented to obtain a Wolli Card. There is a deposit fee of CHF 5. The deposit will be refunded when the key card is returned. No deposit is refunded for any damaged key card.

Children accompanied by adults may order from the children’s menu at no charge between noon and 2 pm.

The tummies of children are filled here: In the Hotel Holiday, children with a Wolli Card are served the main course, two scoops of ice cream and a soft drink for CHF 20.00. With half board, there is an appetiser, soup, main course and dessert for the same price.
Jägerhof
For children in the company of their parents enjoying dinner in the Hotel Jägerhof, the children’s menu is at no charge.
Restaurant Hotel Perren
Children with the Wolli Card receive a scoop of ice cream of their choice in the restaurants of the Hotel Perren.
Restaurant La Ginabelle
For à-la-carte dinners with their parents, children up to age 9 receive their selection from the children’s menu at no charge.
Restaurant Old Zermatt
By presenting the Wolli Card, children receive a scoop of ice cream of their choice for free.
Restaurant Veranda & Marie's Deli
With the Wolli Card, there is a surprise gift, free robber’s dinner and 10% discount on the children’s menu in the Restaurant Veranda and in Marie's Deli in the Hotel Mirabeau Alpine Residence.
Zermatt Igloo Village
Relaxed atmosphere, impressive snow art and a wonderful panorama: In the Zermatt Igloo Village, young guests benefit from a warm and tasty cup of hot chocolate.
Holders of the Wolli Card benefit from various other discounts and offers on the mountain and in the village.
Air Zermatt
With the Wolli Card children travel free with their parents (minimum 2 adults).
Glacier Palace
Who has once gone down 15 metres into a glacier? Sparkling ice crystals and dazzling ice sculptures enchant visitors – at no charge for Wolli Card holders.
Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis
One can immerse oneself into the mountain world of past years. The Matterhorn Museum – Zermatlantis offers insight into the development of the village of Zermatt and shows the triumph and tragedy surrounding the first ascent of the Matterhorn. Admission is free with the Wolli Card.
Stoked
Whether souvenirs, ski instruction or equipment, the Stoked Shop on the Bahnhofstrasse offers everything. Children, who show their Wolli Card, receive a surprise gift here.
Wolli Wonderland
With the Wolli Card, the Wolli Adventure Box costs CHF 19 instead of CHF 29.

«Zooom the Matterhorn» on the Gornergrat
Float with a virtual hang-glider over the high alpine landscape, experience the powers of nature and the four seasons on the Matterhorn, or even look through a digital telescope and bring the real Matterhorn right into focus. The new «Zooom the Matterhorn» experience world on the Gornergrat offers all this and more. Admission is free with the Wolli Card.
Holders of the Wolli Card travel free on all mountain lifts and the local bus, Families that stay overnight in Täsch or Randa, or plan an excursion in one of those places, also benefit. Train travel between Zermatt, Täsch and Randa is free for children with the Wolli Card.
