A Magical Snowshoe Tour in Winter
The snowshoe tour along the Matterhorn Glacier Trail is one of the most beautiful winter experiences in the Zermatt mountains. Together with a certified ZERMATTERS mountain guide, you will hike from Trockener Steg to Schwarzsee through a breathtaking, untouched winter landscape.
The route passes the Theodul Glacier Lake and crosses a secluded alpine plateau, where tranquillity and vast open spaces create a truly special atmosphere. Surrounded by spectacular views of the Matterhorn, Dent Blanche and Obergabelhorn, you will make your way towards the Matterhorn before descending to Schwarzsee. As the picturesque mountain lake and the small chapel «Maria zum Schnee» come into view, your destination is almost reached.
