Once surrounded by eternal ice, the region became fertile grazing land for cattle as the Gorner glacier receded. The historic wooden barns, once cattle stables, have been partially converted into residential buildings and bear witness to the past. Whether summer, autumn, winter or spring - a visit to Furi is always worthwhile. At any time of year, Furi invites you to escape from everyday life and relax.
Dossen glacier garden and children’s playground
A journey back to the Ice Age awaits you in the Dossen glacier garden, where there was once pure ice. Today, glacial potholes and mysterious rock caves bear witness to the past. You can explore the glacial polish on secured paths and marvel at the striking holes, the glacier potholes. For families, there is a well-equipped children's playground with climbing stone, swings and hanging xylophone as well as an inviting barbecue area for relaxing breaks.
Suspension bridge
The 100-metre-long bridge floats high above the roaring Gorner Gorge. The view down is not for the faint-hearted and requires courage. On the opposite side, the Dossen glacier garden is waiting to be explored.
