Description

Early in the morning it starts still in the dark. Initially steep, the terrain flattens somewhat over time. At the saddle (4,355 m) a ski depot is made and the ridge is climbed. Here it is quite possible that crampons are needed. In beautiful ridge climbing over snow, ice and rock it goes to the highest summit of Switzerland.

For the descent and ride down, the ascent route is chosen back to the hut. Then you ski over the snowy Gorner Glacier to Zermatt.

  • Dufourspitze – the highest point of Switzerland
  • Since summer 2020 the Dufourspitze has a new summit cross
  • Long descent over nearly 20 km and 3,000 meters of altitude
