Description

Hikers enjoy the view of the panorama that they cannot take their eyes off for hours. Highlight on the route: the reflection of the Matterhorn in the Riffelsee.

Athletes who want to optimize their red blood cells take on this roughly 900 m altitude difference as altitude training. Ideal for this: the joint-friendly return with the Gornergrat Railway to the village, with panoramic views and views of the Matterhorn.

  • Viewing platform on the Gornergrat
  • Intermediate stations of the Gornergrat Railway if the running training was too tough
  • Route partly the same as for the Gornergrat - Zermatt Marathon (each July)
  • Interesting alpine flora
