Description
The hike from Sunnegga to Winkelmatten is a particularly scenic and varied route. Impressive panoramic views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding four-thousand-metre peaks of the Valais Alps open up right from the start. The trail first leads to the idyllic Leisee and continues via the traditional hamlet of Findeln, where an enjoyable stop with magnificent views is possible. The descent then continues steadily downhill through open forests, eventually reaching the quiet district of Winkelmatten.
