Riffelseeweg (No. 21)

Rotenboden - Riffelsee - Riffelberg (extension possible via Mark Twain Path or Swiss Topwalk)

• Weather-appropriate clothing (always with you: rain protection)

First take the Gornergrat Railway to Gornergrat. On the viewing platform you can see: 29 four-thousand-meter peaks and a breathtaking mountain and glacier panorama. Then return to Rotenboden.

• Plan every mountain route carefully and adapt it to your own conditions as well as the weather and the season.
• The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Therefore, take appropriate clothing and enough provisions and water. Turn back in time if the weather is uncertain.
• Inform others about your route and if possible never go alone.
• Do not leave marked trails and do not go on glaciers without a mountain guide.
• Be considerate of other hikers as well as plants and animals.
• Observe the warning signs that draw attention to the constant danger in the riverbed and on the banks of watercourses below reservoirs and water catchments.

Attention! In spring the path may not be passable because snow is still present.
