Every Thursday evening from January to March, the Gornergrat Railway takes you up the Gornergrat. Local star gazing guide Peter Salzmann introduces visitors to the constellations under an incomparable starry sky. He also shows you how to navigate using a star chart, and throws in a few selected myths about the Greek gods for good measure.

Moreover you can help yourself to as many servings as you like at the Chinese fondue buffet. The romantic atmosphere provides the perfect finish to your excursion before you head back to Zermatt on the Gornergrat Railway.

Spend a relaxing evening with family and friends at the Marmo mountain restaurant, where traditional Wiener schnitzel takes center stage. Prepared from fine Swiss veal and served with classic side dishes such as potato salad, French fries, and cucumber salad, it's the perfect occasion for socializing in a unique mountain setting.

The last gondola takes you from Zermatt to Furi at 6:30 p.m., from where you can reach us in 10 minutes on foot.

- Departure: 6:30 p.m. from the Matterhorn Express valley station.
- The return to the village is either on foot or by sledge in good snow conditions.
- Headlamp or flashlight recommended.
