A spectacular trekking experience with glacier crossing in the Matter Valley – surrounded by the highest peaks of the Alps and mighty glaciers. Starting from Sunnegga station, the Monte Rosa Trek leads along scenic high-altitude trails, past alpine lakes, and across the impressive Gorner Glacier to the architecturally unique Monte Rosa Hut.
This package is available for booking from July 10 to September 11, 2025.
The trek can be booked either as a self-guided tour or with a guided glacier trekking experience (on days three and four). If you would like a guided tour, please contact Zermatt Tourism after your booking at info@zermatt.swiss. Booking the guided tour is available for an additional fee: CHF 1’275 for 1 to 3 participants, then CHF 60 per additional person.
Day 1: Sunnegga – Täschhütte
Täschhütte has a long-standing history. Since 1945, mountain guides and alpinists have shaped life around the hut. Tales of first ascents and legendary tours make this place special. Nostalgia meets alpine tradition here.
