Bern - Zermatt, a stage that is part of the international racing bike series "Chasing Cancellara". Every year, around 400 cycling enthusiasts take part in Switzerland's toughest one-day race and are surrounded by unique nature along the way. The racers are expected at the finish line in Zermatt at the Obere Matten.
The race is part of the swiss cycling legend and two time Olympic Champion Fabian Cancellara’s international race series Chasing Cancellara which will provide the participants with a very demanding course. Who manages to overtake the champion or to beat his time?
From the federal capital Bern, the racers will set off over 300 kilometers and 5000 meters of altitude to Zermatt. The route leads through the Gantrisch natural parc, over the passes Mittelberg and Col du Pillon into the lower part of Valais to finally reach Zermatt.
The finish in Zermatt takes place between 11.00 am and 07.00 pm on the "Obere Matten".
