Description
The cable cars take you up to Blauherd. The natural trail to Tufteren starts not far from the mountain station. Even though the trail begins relatively flat, it is peppered with some challenging elements such as sharp hairpin bends. It is well worth stopping occasionally and taking in the amazing views of the Matterhorn, Mettelhorn and Weisshorn.
At the hamlet of Tufteren, the gravel path heads through the beautiful larch and pine forest to Sunnegga.
This route is particularly popular with hikers, so follow the advice: give way to hikers and take extra care.
