Bike route village route (No. 66)

The village route starts at the village square in the middle of Zermatt. Via Wiesti Street you reach Petit-Village, where a unique view of the village and the towering Matterhorn behind it awaits. After enjoying the view, continue through the village past Hotel Cervo to Restaurant Ried. Surrounded by the fresh scent of larch forests, it goes back to the village and into the higher-lying Winkelmatten district, where new perspectives on the Matterhorn open up in the small park by the chapel. The deck chairs there also invite you to linger. The return route to the starting point leads past the parish church of St. Mauritius, through the English quarter and the old village part of Zermatt. It is worth getting off in front of the centuries-old wooden houses here and admiring the peasant architectural art of the past.

The route leads exclusively on wide roads and can be ridden without a mountain bike.
