Description

The Blauherd Trail is easy to reach by mountain railway: in Zermatt, the funicular takes visitors up to Sunnegga. From there, the connecting lift continues to Blauherd. When leaving the mountain station, keep left—directly opposite is the start of the trail.

Over around three kilometers, the trail winds through impressive high-alpine terrain and descends between massive boulders to Sunnegga. A varied mix of technical, natural sections and playful style elements turns the nearly 300 meters of vertical drop into a special biking experience. The spectacular centerpiece—the ride through the huge canyon—takes your breath away for a moment.
