Description
The hike leads from the last houses at the end of the village of Zermatt gently uphill towards Zmutt. But shortly after, you leave this hiking route and go down to the left towards Zum See / Bielti. The air is fresh and clean, the sun shines at first, but soon you enter shady and somewhat steeper terrain. You cross the Zmutt stream and reach the houses of Zum See, later the agricultural road coming down from Stafel. Then you continue on the road along the shady slope towards the back of the valley. To cross the Zmutt stream a second time, you go slightly downhill. And finally, you reach the sunny hamlet of Zmutt.
