Zermatt introduces Switzerland’s first smartphone ticket

Before first use, the digital ticket is loaded into the [Matterhorn app](https://zermatt.swiss/en/matterhorn-app) and activated with a single click on the day of use. After that, the smartphone communicates directly with the new sMove access gates via Bluetooth Low Energy and opens them without having to take the phone out of your pocket. The new ticket type offers full functionality like a KeyCard – even in offline mode. The smartphone ticket is a simple, convenient, and forward-looking solution for all winter sports and mountain enthusiasts, developed in close collaboration between Zermatt Bergbahnen, Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn / Gornergratbahn, and Zermatt Tourism.
