Description

Mountain biking technique camp with trial pro Tom Oehler

Want to build your confidence in mastering steps, steep passages and tight bends? This camp focuses on the basic training for optimal bike control. We work on riding position, balance and active movement on the bike. With a background in trial sport, Tom’s many years of experience as a coach allow participants to make significant progress quickly.

Course

The first day will consider the aims and expectations of all participants. We will spend the morning in the practice area, before putting the advice into action on trails after lunch. Participants will break down, analyse and practise key sections. The fourth day will include a longer tour on the high alpine trails of Zermatt to finish off.

This will mainly incorporate S2 trails on the single-track scale, with some S3 sections. The high alpine trails have some exposed sections (1600 – 3000 metres above sea level).

The course is aimed at mountain bikers who want to improve their technical skills. Tom will tailor the course individually to the existing riding ability of the participants. Minimum requirement: You must be able to ride most of the medium-difficulty trails in a bike region (individual sections on foot are no problem). There is no upper skill limit – Tom will find a way to challenge and encourage you!
