Sustainability: Zermatt - Matterhorn with a milestone

The programme brings together businesses and destinations from the entire Swiss tourism sector. By participating in the programme, the destination commits to continuous sustainable development and thus contributes to sustainable tourism. As a Swisstainable destination, Zermatt - Matterhorn ensures that the principles of tourism sustainability are practised throughout the region and by all partner businesses involved. In addition to previous efforts in the area of sustainability and a certain number of Swisstainable classified service partners, Zermatt Tourism has defined five specific measures that will be implemented over the next four years. These range from targeted communication and sensitisation of guests to the development of new, tangible sustainable offers. Step by step, Zermatt Tourism is working with our service partners to make tourism in our region even more sustainable.
