You are never this close to the Matterhorn on any other winter hiking trail. The hike leads from Schwarzsee to Stafel, descending 380 meters in altitude. Always by your side: the Matterhorn north face. To this day, it represents a great challenge for alpinists, which only a few very experienced mountaineers dare to face.
