Schnitzkurs für Anfänger & Kinder

Wilderness Crafts on the Matterhorn: Your bushcraft carving course from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Away from the hustle and bustle, you’ll meet in the fragrant larch and Swiss stone pine forests to learn one of humanity’s oldest skills from scratch: carving with a knife.
Under expert guidance, you’ll learn everything you need to get started with this grounding hobby:

• Safety & knife handling: You’ll learn the key cutting techniques to work efficiently and without risk of injury.
• Wood and materials: Which wood is best suited to which project? We’ll sharpen your eye for the resources that nature provides right here on site.
• Practical outdoor projects: Step by step, you’ll transform a piece of raw wood into useful equipment for your next camp – such as a classic bushcraft spoon, tent pegs or even a bowl or drinking cup.

This course is specially designed for beginners and children. It’s not about perfection, but about the experience, the focus and working with your own hands. At the end of the day, you’ll not only take home your first unique, handmade wooden creation, but also the sense of pride that comes from having got a little closer to nature...
