Riffelalp - Ritti - Winkelmatten (Chapel)

• Warm winter clothing depending on the weather

This hike is especially beautiful when fresh snow has fallen and the Swiss stone pines and larches along the path are covered with new sparkling snow.

• Carefully plan every mountain hike and adapt it to your own conditions as well as the weather and season.
• The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Therefore, take appropriate clothing and enough provisions and water. Turn back in time if the weather is uncertain.
• Inform others about the hike and if possible, never go alone.
• Do not leave marked paths and do not venture onto glaciers without a mountain guide.
• Walking on ski slopes is prohibited.
• Be considerate of other hikers as well as plants and animals.

Note: The winter hiking trail can be slippery. It may be advisable to attach crampons to your shoes (available in sporting goods stores).
