Description
The book «Vorfahrin» explores origin, memory, and the question of how we ourselves can become good ancestors.
It connects family history with cultural research and gives forgotten voices – especially those of women – their place back.
During this evening, the author will not only read from her work but will also speak with publisher Rico Erpen, offering insights into the creation of the book.
Where did the idea come from? What surprises emerged during the research? And what does it mean to immerse oneself in one’s own past? How do we become good ancestors?
A special highlight of the reading: using augmented reality, we will bring the first ancestor, the Lady of Salgesch, to life. The story becomes tangible and immediate – to see, to marvel at, and to reflect upon.
So please bring your smartphone.
An evening full of stories, encounters and surprising perspectives on what connects us across generations.
