Arrival and immersion
Your special day begins in Zermatt – in style and steeped in history. Our concierge extends a warm welcome to you at the charming Edward’s Bar-Café in the historic Hotel Monte Rosa. Over a sparkling aperitif with regional white wine or a perfectly prepared cappuccino, you’ll immerse yourself in the atmosphere of times gone by. This is no ordinary outing, but an experience with heart.

A stroll through history
Before the train sets off, your concierge will take you on a short, exclusive tour of Zermatt. With charm and insider knowledge, he’ll share stories known only to those in the know. Discover anecdotes from days gone by, hidden corners and remarkable people – a walk that lets you feel the history of the place.

Nostalgia on the rails
Then it’s time to board, sit back and set off. As soon as you step into the historic carriage from 1961, you’ll feel the charm of days gone by. Soft colours, comfortable rows of seats and the gentle motion of the train create a special atmosphere. You take a seat by the window, the view opens up before you, and as Zermatt slowly fades into the distance, that feeling takes hold: of being on the move, yet completely at one with yourself.

The magic of the mountains
Outside the window, a constantly changing panorama unfolds: snow-covered forests, glistening peaks, and the vast expanse of a clear sky. The train gains altitude; the rails hum. An exclusive stop offers the chance to take a photo. Up on the Gornergrat at 3,089 metres, time seems to stand still for a moment: the Gorner Glacier shimmers, the Valais four-thousanders stand majestically in the landscape, and a deep blue sky stretches above.

A culinary delight with a view
After the return journey to Riffelalp, the next highlight awaits you: a three-course meal at the renowned Ristorante Al Bosco. Inspired by Swiss cuisine, prepared with regional ingredients and accompanied by fine wines. Culinary delights and the view merge to create an experience for all the senses.

A farewell to cherish
Refreshed and content, you head back to Zermatt. As the train rolls leisurely down into the valley, the day’s memories flash before your eyes once more: the concierge’s friendliness, the scent of wood in the carriage, the view of the mountains.
