Description

The Matterhorn Ultraks trail races have been held annually in August since 2012. The routes are chosen so that spectators can fully enjoy themselves and cheer on the runners.

The Mountain race is a route of medium length that leads through the magical mountain landscape around Zermatt. It follows hiking trails, and at one point, the athletes cross the suspension bridge at Furi, which hangs 90 m above the Gorner gorge. An impressive moment.

  • for spectators: exciting viewing points at Sunnegga, Riffelalp, and Schwarzsee
  • for spectators: start and finish in Zermatt
  • for spectators: mountain railways available (packages for friends of the runners)
  • opportunity to participate as a helper
