Description

This ski tour starts at the mountain station Furggsattel. From there it takes one hour to the start of the winter via ferrata "La Traversata." With skis carried on the back, you climb the via ferrata – which takes another hour – until you finally reach the historic mountain station Furggen (3,500 m). At the end, put skis back on and enjoy a 1,500 m long freeride descent to the Italian Breuil-Cervinia, always with the south face of the Matterhorn behind you.

  • Climb in rock and ice with skis carried on the back (and crampons if needed)
  • Only for climbers free from vertigo and sure-footed
  • Very good skiing skills and ski touring experience required
