Description

To enjoy the atmosphere in the modernly designed Dom Hut, 1,635 meters of elevation must be overcome. That means it takes fitness, mountain experience, and no fear of heights. Because the path also goes over exposed places and artificially constructed metal stairs and safety ropes.

Once at the hut, you will meet a mixed group: alpinists with ropes, crampons, and ice axes, but also mountain hikers who simply want to enjoy the view in a cozy environment.

  • The path requires a certain degree of no fear of heights (metal stairs, safety ropes)
  • 2013 reopening of the completely renovated and restored Dom Hut
  • Shared rooms with duvets, 1 shower
  • Starting point for 7 four-thousanders including the ascent of the Dom (4,545 m)
  • Breathtaking view of the Matterhorn in the background on the horizon
