Description

The Weisshornhütte perches on a rocky outcrop and offers a magnificent view of the almost touchable Southeast face of the Weisshorn (4,506 m) as well as 18 other four-thousand meter peaks. The cozy high mountain hut of the Swiss Alpine Club, SAC Basel section, is the starting point for mountaineers who have great plans – among them the Weisshorn, an extremely challenging mountain in terms of physical fitness. The hike to the hut and back to the valley requires good stamina and stable knees.
