Description

This route is ideal for first-time high alpine experience, but only for experienced and sure-footed mountain hikers accompanied by a mountain guide. It involves climbing a glaciated four-thousander, which should not be underestimated. Early in the morning, you take the cable car to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise at 3,883 m. The ascent and descent on snow and ice takes about three hours, depending on fitness. The climb is not dizzying, but the route offers a high alpine mountain experience where you can enjoy the feeling of having your head already in space.
