New label for regional and sustainable Zermatt products – Taste of Zermatt

Taste of Zermatt is a new label – a seal of quality for products that are sustainably produced locally and represent outstanding quality.

The association and umbrella brand Taste of Zermatt, which coordinates the culinary events of the Zermatt – Matterhorn destination, is developing its work further in conjunction with Zermatt Tourism to launch a new label that celebrates the diversity and excellence of local food and drink. The “Taste of Zermatt” label offers producers in the region the opportunity to classify and market their products with a quality seal based on a comprehensive sustainability approach.

The main aim of this label is to promote uniqueness, verifiability and quality assurance. In addition to representing outstanding quality, products that are awarded the “Taste of Zermatt” label should also reflect a connection with the region, its traditions and the memories they evoke.

The award offers producers the opportunity to communicate the quality of their products to customers, opening up marketing advantages locally and online. With the support of the “Taste of Zermatt” association, award-winning products will be marketed by various sales outlets including tourist offices and cable car stations. This enables producers to stand out from the competition and emphasise their value and uniqueness.
