The Matterhorn Glacier Ride II has been in operation since 1 July 2023, connecting the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise with Testa Grigia. This innovative cable car connection completes the long-awaited direct link between Zermatt (Switzerland) and Cervinia (Italy) and opens up a whole host of new travel options in the heart of the Alps.
The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing is more than just a convenient border crossing at 3,458 metres above sea level – it offers a truly unique experience. The cable car ride around the iconic Matterhorn reveals the mountain’s many faces: from its famous triangular silhouette as you depart from Zermatt to its unmistakable charm on the Italian side.
