CESI – A new culinary destination in Zermatt
Since the end of August 2026, Zermatt has a new culinary address: Restaurant CESI. Located at Kirchstrasse 17, right next to la couronne | Hotel & Spa, CESI combines modern alpine cuisine with a stylish, relaxed atmosphere and impressive views of the Matterhorn.
At CESI, fresh, high-quality ingredients and honest cuisine with character take centre stage. Alpine classics meet modern dishes and new interpretations – uncomplicated, refined and with strong regional influences. The culinary experience is complemented by a carefully selected range of wines, creative cocktails and drinks.
Whether for an aperitif, a relaxed lunch, a drink on the terrace or dinner with friends and family, CESI is a place to enjoy and linger – for locals and visitors from around the world alike.
The name itself tells a part of Zermatt’s family history. CESI is a tribute to Cäsar “Cesi”, who laid the foundations for the Julen family’s tradition of hospitality. The new restaurant carries this tradition forward while giving it a contemporary interpretation – true to its motto: Rooted in tradition. Reimagined.
Restaurant CESI is open daily from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm.
