Sustainability Office
Sustainability is central to the Zermatt – Matterhorn destination. But the only way to ensure long-term success is through collective action. In this section, our service partners from different sectors introduce themselves and report on how they are tackling sustainability individually. These exciting and inspirational approaches all pursue a common goal: a sustainable future for nature, visitors and local people.
The Sustainability Office for the Zermatt, Täsch, and Randa region is the central point of contact for all issues relating to sustainability. It is managed by Gabriele Leiggener on behalf of the municipalities.
Over 20 stakeholders from different areas have developed a sustainability strategy based on the three pillars of ecology, economy and social issues. The partners work closely together to implement concrete projects focused on different areas of sustainability.
